Description
We are currently looking for a Consultant Radiologist to relocate to the beautiful city of Belfast and the surrounding areas.
- Deliver specialist Radiology services
- The holder of this post will be a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialist interest, together with general radiology sessions.
- The post-holder will participate in the diagnostic on-call rota.
- The holder will participate in audit and directorate meetings and undertake administrative duties as required
- An interest in research and teaching is expected with participation in projects, courses, etc. to enhance the standing and role of the Department and Trust.
- The post-holder is managerially accountable to the Clinical Director and professionally accountable to the Medical Director
Person Specification
- Member of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
- Full registration with the GMC
- Registered on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for relevant CCT or equivalent within 6 months of interview
- Evidence of completing a period of approved training in diagnostic radiology
- Ability to offer expert opinion on a range of problems and take independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff
- Teaching and training medical students
- Experience of clinical audit
- Experience of clinical research
- Communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Organizational skills
