Consultant Otolaryngology required for a private hospital in Dubai.
Job Summary
The Consultant ENT is responsible for Patient Medical Care of his medical specialization. Serves in a consultative manner as well as performing surgical procedures on patients.
Duties and responsibilities
- Establish and maintain professional standards for quality patient care.
- Perform investigations and treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders such as ear infections, nasal obstructions, rhinitis, sinusitis, snoring, sleep apnea and related head and neck problems.
- Provides particular expertise in performing some diagnostic procedures such as Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry and Hearing Aid evaluation.
- Perform surgical procedures such as tonsillectomy, myringotomy, adenoidectomy, sinus surgery and other procedures related to the ear, nose and throat.
- May interpret x-ray tests and other radiological tests.
- Responsible for smooth running of assigned clinic.
- Record all data of the patients' care in the patient medical record in accordance with the acceptable international standards and hospital regulations.
- Actively participates in any training program or education activity related to ENT and organized within the hospital for training staff and in-service training classes for the nursing staff.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
Education/License:
- Graduate from a recognized medical school with a MBBS or its international equivalent.
- Western certificates such as American Board, Canadian, UK Membership/Fellowship or its equivalent.
Qualifications
Candidates must be registered medical practitioners and must have received suitable training for this post as outlined above. Candidates must be on the specialist register or equivalent

Professional Experience
- Seven years related experience after post graduation in Otolaryngology.

Specialised Knowledge
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English language both verbal and written.
- Knowledge in Arabic language is an advantage.
